Why we built it
Pocketful’s savings charts had one job: show your money growing at a pace you’d believe. Every library we tried made a £25 week look like a rocket launch. So I drew our own in SVG, with an honest axis and a line that only curves when the numbers do.
What it does
One line, one area, one dot for today. It animates once when it appears and never again, reads the total out to screen readers, and keeps still for anyone who has asked for less motion. It weighs 4 kB.
Giving it away
Other teams kept asking for it, so we open-sourced it in March 2022. It has 2.1k stars now, and one very kind issue that just says thank you.
