Onboarding in two screens

Pocketful’s sign-up asked five screens of questions before you could save a penny. Most people left on screen three.

What changed

We kept the two questions that changed what we showed you: what you’re saving for, and how much a week. Everything else moved to later, or turned out not to be needed at all. Legal read every word of the new version and signed it off, which I still consider my finest negotiation.

Completion went from 41 to 78 per cent. The full write-up has the screens before and after.
